An afternoon of lively networking and socializing for LAGPA women was held on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at the Studio City home of Lillene Fifield, Board Treasurer. The event, coordinated by LAGPA Board members Lillene Fifield, , and Billie Weiser, was attended by 14 members and guests who enjoyed a great afternoon catching up with old friends and making new connections.

Those present participated in an enthusiastic exchange of information and resources related to both professional and personal interests. News of upcoming professional conferences, job opportunities, office space, and referral resources was offered as members spoke about their current interests and involvements. Suggestions were also offered for future women's social events. These included joining with other professional women's groups to increase diversity and providing more opportunities for single professionals to meet. All present welcomed plans for LAGPA to continue hosting Women's Social Events on a regular quarterly basis.

The next Women's Networking and Social Event will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2001 from 2-5pm. Location to be announced. Mark your calendars now so you don't miss it. A flyer with details will be sent to members early in April.
