Many of you attended the Sixth Annual Conference on
June 10 of this year and raved about it, also offering some wonderful suggestions and
requests for next year. The LAGPA
memberships is by far one of the leading populations in GLBT mental health, in the country,
and we are very much aware of this. So as to make sure that this wonderful and dynamic
membership has the opportunity to express itself as fully as possible, we are inviting you to
submit a proposal for a program that you would like to present next year, at the Seventh
Annual Conference. A date has not been set, but will be either the second or third week of
June, 2001.
If you are interested, please submit a
title of your program, a brief description of your program (approximately 250 words), the
goals and objectives of your program, which best answer the question, "What will the
attendee have learned and be able to do with the information once they leave your
presentation?", and a resume of those presenting.
Your proposed program should be to further
the education of licensed clinical professionals, and taught at a post licensure level.
Student oriented programs are welcomed, and should be identified as such when presented for
review. Please indicate whether you are presenting a lecture, group discussion, or panel
presentation.
We will be accepting proposals through
December 1, 2000, but the sooner you submit a proposal, the better! You may mail your item for
consideration to:
