Dr. Cason has been awarded a Summer Fellowship for
Faculty in Psychology, at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York. This will be an intensive
three week program, at which he will learn the principles and applications of Rational-Emotive
therapy. The structure of the program includes seminars, lectures, client supervision, and
co-facilitating a group with Albert Ellis himself. Also facilitating part of the program, as a training
director is Raymond DiGiuseppe, PhD, a rather formidable name in the Cognitive Therapy
community.
Selection is highly competitive for this
program, and LAGPA is very proud to have a member, and board of directors member be honored
with this opportunity. We are sure that Dr. Cason will return from this Summer Fellowship with
a new set of skills which are guaranteed to enhance greatly his abilities as a psychologist
and educator.
