Thomas O’Malley LMFT

I offer state of the art EMDR services. As a trauma informed clinician who cares about helping you feel better soon as possible. I will work to help you identify and accomplish your own goals. I offer a safe space to help you feel comfortable and understood without judgment. My approach is based on individual needs, influenced by several types of therapeutic orientations including narrative, person-centered, mindfulness - based CBT and psychodynamic. I specialize in working with individuals, teenagers, adults, couples and families. I have decades of experience working within the field of addiction, love and sex addiction, eating disorders, sexuality and gender identity issues, grief, depression, anxiety/mood disorders.

I use mindfulness exercises and Somatic (body centered) focus to support people in becoming more aware and accepting of their thoughts, feelings and beliefs. I help people have compassion for themselves and others, find their own voice, learn to be assertive along with being able to advocate for what they need for themselves.

I collaborate particularly well with people who find themselves repeatedly in relationships or life paths that they feel unfulfilled by, but have not been able to change on their own. I will work with you to tailor a psychotherapy that is designed for your unique difficulties and strengths, and that considers all aspects of you.
