The Femininity Project founded by Mary Guillermin, LMFT

Is your sense of yourself as a woman damaged by sexual molestation or abuse? Are you confused about who you are as a female being in the contemporary world? Does your inner womanly self differ from your assigned gender?

If so, then The Femininity Project is for you!

The Femininity Project was founded by Mary Guillermin, LMFT, whose experience ranges from being a co-founder of a Gay Liberation Front group in the 1970s through being trained in Gestalt and Contribution Training and psychodynamic therapies to being an artist who loves and is inspired by the Divine Feminine. The Femininity Project offers all women the means to deepen, purify and celebrate your Feminine Self through workshops, groups and individual therapy.

Mary uses therapeutic methods that awaken our intuition and harvest the wisdom, knowledge and clarity of our inner selves. This includes accessing child selves both to relieve and release traumatic experiences and to enjoy the kernel of radiant health that is often held by a child self. Healing and self exploration is encouraged by participating in guided visualizations, art and sand tray exercises, Gestalt dialoguing with different aspects of yourself and other expressive, intuitive methods. [Workshops are experiential and do not provide therapy. If traumatic memories surface, you will be advised to see or get an individual therapist. Aspects of health, strength and coping skills may be explored.]

Mary has a quiet and private office in the country setting of her home in Topanga Canyon as well as an office in the town of Topanga where she offers groups. Workshops and groups are also run in locations in the SFV and westside LA.

The Femininity Project has a "Fair Fee" policy where the right to equal access is ensured for all comers, irrespective of financial means. Women with financial resources are asked to pay a full and fair market price to support the right of those women with less financial means to benefit from the services of The Femininity Project

The Femininity Project offers periodic free two hour workshops in a beautiful setting at the Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga. The workshop itself is free with a charge of $35 to cover room rental, a set lunch, taxes and tips. Women with financial means are invited to volunteer to sponsor a fellow-attendee with a lower income.

Details of the next workshop on Saturday, October 17, 2015 are at

A group focusing on the healing of sexual abuse trauma will begin in October. The group is limited to five places. To inquire, email Mary at
