Rachel Jones, MA, LMFT

Rachel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist whose work is founded in LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy, both as a member of the queer community and as an affirmative provider. She views therapy as a collaborative process that allows trust and authenticity to foster insight and growth, exploring how the past informs the present. She practices from a psychodynamic perspective and uses humanistic, CBT, and DBT interventions to support self-efficacy and increase effective coping. Rachel specializes in treating adults, adolescents, and children seeking support around LGBTQ+ identity and clinical issues, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, behavioral addictions, complex trauma, and personality disorders.

Rachel received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, specializing in LGBT Affirmative Psychotherapy, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. She has completed specialized trainings in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety Disorders through the Beck Institute, and the Oaklander Model for Gestalt play Therapy through the Oaklander Foundation.

In addition to her private practice, Rachel is a team member, skills group leader, and primary therapist within Dr. Suzanne Wallach's Comprehensive DBT Program for adults, adolescents, and children in Beverly Hills, California.
