Erik Edler, Licensed Psychotherapist

Erik Edler, Licensed Psychotherapist

If you're feeling depressed and discouraged, if you're feeling stressed and anxious, or if you're feeling lonely or having relationship problems, I'm here to help.  I encourage you to have hope and to believe that you can work through whatever difficulties you're facing, and that you can feel much better.  I am a licensed MFT (psychotherapist / counselor) in Long Beach, specializing in working with gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals and couples.  My treatment approach is compassionate and interactive, focusing on insight, emotional processing, and skill-building.  I feel it's important to be real with clients, to really listen, to always be supportive, and to give honest feedback. In therapy you'll gain new perspectives about yourself and your partner, and the issues you face.  Whether as a couple or as an individual, you'll need to understand things better and develop some new skills in order to move forward into a better future.

I'm located in on PCH in Long Beach, just a half mile north of Seal Beach.  I'm about 30-40 minutes south of L.A. on the 405 or 605, for daytime, later evening, and weekend appointments, when traffic flows well.  I am close to Los Alamitos, Lakewood, and San Pedro, and I'm easily reached along PCH from Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and Irvine.  Please feel free to call or email with any questions you might have, or for a free 30-min phone consultation.  I would be happy to help.
