Have you ever wondered why you struggle with certain things while others seem to face these challenges head-on? I believe that while our biology may explain how we exist in the world, it is our social environment that shapes how we perceive and engage with the world around us. I hope to work with you so we can understand how these two forces have come together to create patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, and how we can use this knowledge to recover from the past and create a life that feels worth living. Together, we can process the past, live in the present, and lay the foundation for a healthy future.
I work from a client-centered perspective that is strengths-based, trauma-informed, sex positive, and trans and poly affirming. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and derived primarily from post-modern and cognitive behavioral theoretical orientations. I have expertise in suicidal ideation, eating disorders, and LGBTQIA2S+ issues.
Therapy with me brings together treatment modalities in a way that is tailored uniquely to you, your goals, and your needs. I believe you are the expert on your life, and I am here to help you find the resources within yourself to build a life worth living. I look forward to providing you compassionate care as we begin this journey of recovery together.
