I work with relationships and sexual problems, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders.  I'm eclectic in my approach to psychotherapy, integrating humanistic, psychodynamic, and directive approaches.  I am an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology, Retired, in the UCLA Department of Psychology.  I am currently the President of the A. K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems.  I am Past-President of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association.  I conduct forensic evaluations for U.S. Immigration Court.

I'm not gay myself but gay affirmative in my work with men and women.  I am interested in small and large group dynamics, particularly how groups unconsciously use individuals to take up roles on the basis of social identities.  This persepective informs my clinical work and informs my thinking about how to promote social change.

I am working only online vis Zoom.  I am not a preferred provider with any insurer.  However, depending upon your insurance policyk you may be able to obtain some reimbursement from your insurer.
