I was born in Cuba and grew up in Boston. From 1985-1990, I was co-chair of the national Association of LGB Issues in Counseling (AGLBIC) and was co-editor of  "Counseling Gay Men and Lesbians: Journey To The End of The Rainbow", American Counseling Association (ACA) Press, 1992. I have since been inducted as a Legacy Fellow of AGLBTIC.Published: Gay and Lesbian: An Erhnic Identity Deserving Equal Protection. Law & Sexuality, 1994, 4. 195-247.1995-1997 I served on the LGBT Committee of the American Psychological Association . In 2008 I published a chapter on counseling queer youth in Dave Capuzzi and Doug Gross (eds.): Youth at Risk, ACA Press, 2008.   I am certified as a qualified medical evaluator #109598  by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Worker's Compensation Medical Unit to conduct medical-legal evaluations on psychological injuries in the workplace.
